Spring babies

We have seen alot of baby animals around here lately and they are soooooo cute....

Here is the baby turtle we found in our back yard!

Maybe a baby Hummingbird?
There have been plenty of Hummingbirds this spring, I love it!

And here is our Momma cat and her three kittens. It has been amazing to watch them with their momma.

Random thought:

We went to my dads the other night for a bonfire and we played Headbanz act up. FYI: It was a really fun game to play around the fire.

Throwback Thursday!

I don't usually like to show old family photos on here just because they are personal, but this one seemed ok to share. So anyways these were my Great Aunts, I believe.
I love this picture and others like this because there is so much history in them and I learn so much about the past just looking at them.

Right now I am reading Little House on the Praire to the boys and thinking about these girls in this picture and Laura Ingalls and her sisters makes me think of the difficulties they went through, like the cold winter 3 mile walk to school or the good times going on a buggy ride every Sunday with a guy they enjoyed spending time with.

When this family moved on this land all they had to live in was a tent, then eventually they built a house, could you imagine!

I love history!!

Encouraging Post: Its ok to just be you

So I said I would do some encouraging posts on here and this is my first one. I love this video that Sadie Robertson did. I agree with what she is talking about in this video and think it is something all of us deal with (including me), especially my generation.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

Just be yourself and live original.

Trying to get a successful Mothers day photo....

So my Mothers day picture started like this, really.

Then it got a little better.

And finally a picture I can frame. :)

This one is pretty good too. This is in front of our beautiful apple tree, we should have lots of apples this fall!

Close up of the flowers on our apple tree. Can you see something flying away from the flower?? bzzzz....

The bumble bees were so busy on our tree that day.

I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee won't my mommy be so proud of me.
Song Carter and I learned at Preschool. lol

ALSO: Tomorrow I am done with Medical Transcription 1 class!! Yippee! Now I am applying for a job this summer even if its volunteer work as a Medical Transcriptionist, just so I can get more experience.

A quick post.

Im so proud of my hubby for stepping out of his comfort zone and helping at Wednesday night church this past year. He mostly enjoyed it and has some new buddies (2nd graders). He did a great job and I am really proud of him. :)

The boys also got their awards tonight and I am so proud of them and happy we have this program to go to. I am so thankful for all the volunteers who help with this.

I am sorry I have not been posting as much lately. I have been busy with finishing school for the summer and I have been helping at the boys school too.

Happy fishing this weekend (fishing opener) and garage saling!!

New blog name: Mamma Mia

I changed my blog name, yes I know and I changed the look. I have been wanting to change the name for awhile and couldn't think of a name until one day I was thinking of things the kids and I say and after a couple of no's, it came to me, Mamma Mia. I say this all the time and the kids say it often too. So I thought, yea that fits. So maybe I will change this blog up a bit because I changed the name. Maybe I will write some encouraging posts, things I like the best posts and some movie/book review posts. We will see. Oooo and maybe some cooking stuff too!

We have been doing spring cleanup around the house. Its nice to see my tulips growing and Josh tilling the garden. I know its early for that, but we can't wait to start our garden again. We have also done alot of fishing this spring so far. It truly is the best thing to go to the lake on a sunny day and see all the bluegills and bass swimming around. We went in the jon boat the other day and saw lots of turtles and caught quite a few bluegills too.

Our animals have been enjoying spring also.

Poor Wookie.

This was Wookie our bearded dragon and as you can see on the third picture our cat was very fond of him/her and she had that look in her eye. Well I didn't notice it, but I guess Josh did. Anyways, one night Conner forgot to check the room to make sure the cat wasn't stuck with the bearded dragon. Well he didn't see her hiding under the tank and well 4 hours later I heard the cat meowing and opened the door to find the tanks top ripped open and Wookie on the floor. It was a mess and yes the bearded dragon we got for Conners birthday was gone. It was so sad, Josh and I had a hard time sleeping that night. So Conner had his tears that morning before school and faced it like a big boy, then later begged for another beardy. So Grandpa was kind enough to buy him his second and last beardy, so if this one doesn't last then we won't be getting more. He understands and he has been quite responsible to make sure the cat is not in the room and that the door is always shut.

So Wookie is gone, but now we have a new, bigger little guy. Conner wanted to get a bigger one so that he may have a better chance with the kitty, if that was to ever happen again, which it shouldn't after grandpa built a strong top over the tanks top, which makes me feel much better in case we do leave that door open.
So the new guys name is simply Beardie, which is great because its easy to remember, lol.
So that is the crazy story about our first bearded dragon.

Wookie hanging out with Conner.

Sleeping on a log.

We should of known after seeing this pic. But seriously I didn't think she would be able to break through the top.....

This is our new guy, Beardie. He is really feisty and loves crickets. This is how he sleeps with his arms tucked to his sides, cute.

Week before Easter and Easter weekend.
We went and visited our old neighborhood and hung out with this guy. It is amazing how much bigger they are since last time they were together.

Hanging out with cousin Courtney at grandmas.

Buddies

2nd Cousins

Great grandma with all the great boys!

Happy Easter a day late!!

Conner said tonight, Mom, Jesus is Risen, I believe it in my heart. Awww, so awesome to hear him say that, makes me smile.

Reptile birthday party!

Conner had a reptile party this year and I will say it was an easy party to plan for because it was at home and he only invited 4 friends. Which only 2 of his friends could come, so it was really an easy going party. And actually I was starting to feel bad we didn't invite more friends, but then realized Conner was having a blast with his 2 buddies that came.
They had swamp juice, DQ cake and played some games, but mostly played with legos.
It was super hard for me to keep our present for him a secret (for a whole month), but I did it. So our secret was that we bought him a reptile tank for his future bearded dragon. He was so surprised when he opened the gift and it was a tank, he had no idea that's what it was.

One of Conners friends sister came too and she just loved our cat.

Playing soccer

Opening the tank.

Son, you’ll outgrow my lap, but never my heart.

Working together

It took Josh (with my help and his dads) one weekend to finish putting in the wood floor. Everything went really good and we didn't have any issues with it.

I thought this was a cute quote and kinda true for Josh and I.

All done!
Thank you husband for working so hard on this!!

Enjoying the sun with Fur ball.

This is in our back field Mr. and Mrs. Goose are enjoying a quiet morning in the field. :)

We have been enjoying our walks in the field and woods now that it is warmer out. The other day we met a guy on his tractor and he said to watch out for a big bobcat in the area and bears, that are not so nice. :/
