Fishing day-

Well I have started school again so I won't be on here as much as I want to, but I will try.
Anyways, we had a great fishing day, finally, a couple of weekends ago. And Conner also caught a crayfish. We later boiled it and the boys ate it, they said it was good.
So it has been a great summer and I have had some great times/ adventures with the boys. I am excited for them to start school and get to experience new classrooms, teachers and friends.
I hope everyone has had a great summer and enjoyed every moment with your families!!

We went to a performance at the park and it was quite awesome.

Cutting up fish from our big day.

Conners cray fish

He loved it!

All our fishies, we have not caught this many since last summer. We are hoping to catch this many again soon.
Nice one!

Fishing with their cousin.

Beautiful sunset after a beautiful day!

After fishing at the campground we always end our day there by the campfire.
So awesome!

Rainbow being elegant.
We have corn on the cob!! And it is the best corn I have ever had!

Rock climbing!

Conner got to try rock climbing (his favorite thing to do in gym at school) at a family summer outing. He loved it and it was super cool the army guys got to help him get his gear on. I can't remember how many feet he went up, but the guy who helped him down said he got farther than some 12 year olds did that day.
Pretty cool!

They also got to check out the lifeline helicopter.

Joshs softball team got 2nd place in their tournament a couple of weeks ago. Yay!!

Our new outdoor kitty, Amani.

~Buddies~

So the other day Conner had a good friend from school come over for a play date. They had alot of fun and it was really cute to see them talk about bugs and all the things they were interested in. They are alot alike and get along really well. I overheard them at one point talking about how when they get older they want to live in the jungle and Conner will be the frog hunter and his friend will be the turtle hunter. So cute!
I am so happy Conner has found such a good friend, thank God!
More and more I am understanding how important it is to grow up with good friends and have them around when you need them. Good friends are hard to come by these days.
I have heard and seen some really disturbing things with kids, teenagers lately and have been even more reminded to pray for our kids and others. It is scary to think about what the future holds for our kids, but I am also reminded that God is in control and that he LOVES US.
PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU, MY PEACE I GIVE UNTO YOU: NOT AS THE WORLD GIVETH, GIVE I UNTO YOU. LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED, NEITHER LET IT BE AFRAID.
JOHN 14:27

They made a homemade slingshot, pretty cool, huh.

Cleaning the turtle pond

Such a good time with these three boys, I will never forget these memories!!

A watermelon is growing, yay!!

Lake Michigan trip!! (WARNING- Lots of beach pictures)

This last weekend we traveled across the state to Lake Michigan, we had a lot of fun. And like Josh said, he didn't want to go home, I think we all felt that way. We really enjoy camping and sleeping under the stars.
On our trip we got to visit the beach daily, go for lots of walks exploring and went to a town near by to fish for trout and salmon. You will see all this in my pictures, enjoy!!

Setting up camp. We actually had to move twice, because of reservation issues.

First time walking to the beach

Almost there!

Here it is... the closest "ocean" we see for now.

So beautiful!

The boys found alot of bones in the sand, kinda cool.

Can you see the lighthouse?

Having fun on the beach

One last look at the beach for the night

I made him take a pic, lol.

The next day at the beach....Carter having fun

Conner having fun

So the family next to us saw this brown trout in the water and the dad caught it, after he got it he realized that this trout got hooked on the eye and that's why it was so easy to catch. Poor trout, so we held it quick.

Lighthouse from the beach

Had to show everyone that, yes, I definitely bring my oils camping with us.

Carter saying by to his sand castle for the day, lol.

Josh holding a light in his hand.

Last day on the beach :(

Beautiful lighthouse, somebody actually lives there.

Family photo quick

Bye, bye beach!

Where we went fishing everyday

We loved watching the boats come in and sometimes they would show everyone what they caught.
Coast guard boat

Josh trying to catch somethin....

The fog started coming in just before we left.

It happened so fast, I would be scared if I was on the boat while it came in.

On our way home we went by Lambeau field. Really bummed we didn't know about family night. We were wondering why people were driving by wearing all there packer clothing and hats, we just thought it was because we were in Green Bay, lol.
