Memorial Day weekend and the old house that burnt down

Our weekend started on thursday, Josh took off two extra days to go fishing. So thursday afternoon we went fishing. Didn't catch anything! Water is too cold yet, I guess. Then friday afternoon we went to Campground and started our first camping adventure of the summer. We had fun, it rained and was a bit chilly out, but other than that it was nice. We also went fishing friday afternoon on Red Cedar, still no fish. So we decided to go back to campground and had some supper. Then Becky, me, Conner, and Carter went for a nice bike ride. After the bike ride me and Becky decided to go be adventurous and check out this old house that had just burnt down a week ago. Such a beautiful house. It was at least a 100 years old. The original family still own it and came back there in summer once in awhile. We went up there last summer on the mule (go cart type of thing) and looked at it when it was still there. So much history there you can just feel it, very interesting. So we got some good pictures and headed back to the campground. We all slept well friday night, Carter rolled around the bed in the pop up for awhile and didnt fall asleep until about 10:30. Which is very late for him, but took him awhile in new place. Saturday I went to a few garage sales and found some very cool sea shells from Hawaii for 25 cents. What a deal! The boys love them. Then I went by Tagalong and explored there a bit, never been there before. So saturday eveining we had our smores by the bonfire and then left for home.
                                Beautiful lillys!
                            Joshs fish on our wall
                                           Carter ready to fish
The house burnt down from lightning strike!

This picture amazes me, the chairs were all very clear in person and much whiter didn't look like this at all. But then this picture makes them look like they are barely there. Like there saying were old  and fading just like the house.

                Old basketball court behind house.
                                         Teeter totter!

                              Yard in front of house
Me and Carter in the pop up.
                                             Tagalong

Josh's fish he did for himself ( for practice)
                                                      Out fishing with the family!
My flowers and tomatoes and peppers. Hoping they grow beautifully!
Baby robins by my moms house, so cute!

Memorial day we went to service at National guard Armery and saw airplanes fly over us, very cool. Then ahd lunch at Joshs mom and dads. Nice Memorial day weekend. God Bless all the men and women who have and do serve this Country!!

                                                 Carter and Payton. :)
Me reading to the boys before they take a nap. Messy room i know, I dont make them clean up until bedtime.
My day lilly bloomed the day after I took the other pic of this! So cool to see that happen.
Me and Becky started planning this a few months ago. This was a surprise party so we tried to make sure everyone knew that. So we kept it a surprise the whole time except the day of. Ya CRAZY RIGHT. A few minutes before the party Ken got a text from someone at church who was invited and she texted him, sorry cant make it to the surprise party. Omg! She thought he already was at the party. Lol So they knew just before they stepped in the door, but at least they acted surprised.
Me and Becky did the decorating the night before.
Trying to remake the special day!

                                                                    Awe!
                                                               Good  family pic.
                                                             Everyone.
The party planners! We could plan any party now! HAha

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Just some random pics I thought were cute

My Yellow Day lily that is about ready to bloom, yay!
Our flower garden in back and our new bird feeder. We planted alot of different plants that haven't come up yet. I wanted to get some tulip bulbs, but I guess you can't get those until fall.
Conner showing me his ant farm. Which is awesome!
Conner and his friend Jacob taking a break after running around.

Ha ha this is a funny one. I asked Becky if she could drive over the lawn mower from Joshs grandparents house ( 2 blocks away). Didnt think she would actually figure out how to work the thing and here next thing I know shes driving in front of my house. So funny. She showed me how to work it and the 2nd picture is how I did driving it. Hehe. I was more scared of running over a rock and it hitting someone or something. And it was hard to turn, I like the push mower better. At least I made a nice trail. ;)
