Wonderful FALL Time!

MOPS Steering committee 2012

 Hello everyone!
We are doing good here at our house. I know its been awhile. I had MOPS starting and keeping up with my school and Conner's school its just alot. But now things aren't as busy with the first MOPS meeting done with. And I will tell you we had a great turnout for MOPS moms and kids, we actually need more volunteers help, so if you know of anybody who has the time, let me know.
I also just got a job at Thomas Landing in Rice Lake, just as a casual, on call position. I needed to find something to keep my CNA license. So I am excited to work with the elderly again, when I worked at Brentwood I didn't realize what an impact all the people I became friends left on me. Its been two years since I worked there and still remember some of there great, interesting stories and things they told me about life and some of their greatest memories. I really enjoyed that, I even became friends with a lady who cleaned for people who were survivors of the Titanic. Now that was interesting to hear her stories. I just went to Brentwood a few days ago for trick or treating with the kids and I only knew two of the residents there, its crazy how time flies and how they are all gone or have moved. It was actually kinda sad, because I got so used of the people that were there and how it was then. Its a good lesson on how things do change, I guess.
Anyways, I will also be volunteering at Mayo clinic in R.L. I really wanted to get a job at the hospital, but they aren't hiring right now, so I figured volunteering is good to get my foot in the door. I am really trying to figure out what I for sure want to go to school for though. I am almost done with my Ms Word A class and that can be a start to a few different programs. I started with wanting to be a Medical Assistant and then went to Medical office specialist. The reason I like MA is because you aren't sitting all day, you get some exercise and help people out, rather than sitting in front of a computer, so its hard for me to decide for sure. O boy! So the boys are doing well, Carter is in his terrible twos and I think its worse than what Conner was like. So thats not fun. Conner is really enjoying Awanas this year and Carter is enjoying Puggles. The boys and I have been volunteering at the Animal Shelter lately and we love it. That has always been my favorite thing to do and now Conner is loving it too and Carter. Its kinda hard to go there and then we get close to a dog and want to take it home. Hopefully someday soon. I am completely convinced that most dogs from the shelter are really great dogs, I have heard so many great stories about this. Talking about animals are cat Mia still never returned, Josh thinks she for sure got shot or ate by something. Its sad and I think thats why I want a dog so bad these days, I miss Mia.The boys want a dog too. We have been praying to find a house and then get a dog. God will provide when he wants too. I just need to be thankful for what we have now and pray for those who need things, like all those affected by Sandy. Thats a sad thing that happened and not all that far from home either. My Aunt T. had damage to her apartment, so please pray for her and her friend Beth.
And THANK YOU to all of you who prayed for my cousins baby Patrick, he is now home and doing good. I was so happy to see he made it home where he belongs. Its stories like that when you know there is a God and he is good. :) God Bless you all!!
