A Christmas tradition

Every year about the first weekend of December we go into the woods and find our perfect tree. Even though this year we went somewhere different and didn't enjoy it as much as the other place we usually go to, we still got our beautiful, perfect little tree.

As you will see the boys were little elves this year. It was a fun evening decorating and listening to you tube Christian Christmas playlist. :)
I love this time of year we get to watch Christmas movies, have hot cocoa, visit with family & friends, go Christmas caroling and of course Christmas services at church.
What a lovely time of year.
Speaking of visiting with family, we had Joshs grandpa over this past weekend who we have not seen for a couple of years now.
He was excited to visit with us and enjoyed the boys. After his wife passed away a couple of years ago now he has lost his zest for life, which is very sad, but at the same time he has so much to be thankful for and still has lots of family left.

I have been sewing like crazy around here (which is almost impossible with finals and everything else going on), but somehow I have managed to sew alot of Christmas presents. yay!! Carter is trying on a apron to make sure it will fit another little person. :)
