Snowy days 2019

Well we have had many snow days here now, so we have been working on some projects and just having fun playing in the snow.

Here is my project I wanted to try and sew a pencil bag. This was something new to me as I have never sewed a zipper on anything, I will say it was easier than I thought.
I would like to make more for gifts and maybe to sell.

We have only got out to ski twice this winter.

The SNOW MOON and my beautiful, old apple tree.

On one snow day I showed the boys how to bead animals. I somehow remembered how to do it from when I was a kid and was able to show them. They really enjoyed beading.

Here is to show how much snow we have got, even Sadie had a hard time walking through it!! I believe our total for snow is 48 inches so far this year!
Since this picture we have got even more snow.

One snow day we went through some of our chapter book and decided which ones we would like to read through the year. I guess I was more interested in this project, but it was fun to see all the old books I have collected from garage sales through the years.

The boys have started 4-H archery, which they have really enjoyed so far.
